Who charters a superyacht in Misool
Four kinds of groups book the 50 m+ tier. Families spanning three generations, where grandparents want a spa deck and teenagers want a dive center on the same hull. Milestone celebrations, where a 14- to 26-guest yacht replaces a venue. Corporate and founder retreats, where privacy and a single invoice matter more than headline price.
The fourth is the couple or small family who simply want the best boat in the water, even with half the suites empty. All four share one need: a vessel large enough that a week in the Misool karst never feels crowded. Below 50 meters, that balance tips; our 35 to 50 m phinisi tier covers that band.
Every charter on this page is priced per yacht, per night, for the whole vessel. If a shared-cabin trip is the better fit, the luxury liveaboard page is the right place to start.
The 50 m+ roster compared
Ten vessels in the 50 m+ class work the Misool and wider Raja Ampat circuit through our desk. Lengths, cabins and guest counts below are catalog figures; 2026 rates are the per-yacht, per-night figures we quote before 11% VAT. Where a rate is marked on request, the owner releases pricing only against dates.

| Silolona | — | 5 | 10 | from USD 18,700 per yacht, per night | 50 m+ |
Three further names sit in this size class through the wider charter market rather than our direct catalog: Dewi Nusantara, a 57 m purpose-built dive liveaboard with a camera room and dedicated dive deck; Amandira, a 52 m phinisi; and Sequoia, a modern-interior 52 m phinisi. We quote all three on request against specific dates.

Vela
50 m phinisi. 6 cabins, 12 guests. Fewer suites on a long hull, so each suite and the shared decks run larger than the guest count suggests.

Lasha
52.5 m phinisi. 10 cabins, 26 guests, the highest capacity in the tier. The practical answer for multigenerational groups and company retreats that need one hull.

Four more vessels round out the roster. Silolona is a traditional gaff-rig phinisi with five suites for ten guests, at USD 18,700 per yacht, per night. Bhavana is a 50 m phinisi sailing yacht with seven cabins for fourteen guests; Scubaspa Zen is a nine-cabin phinisi for twenty guests. Both are quoted on request against dates. Misool superyacht charter price: worked 7-night and 10-night totals
Private Raja Ampat charters run from USD 6,400 to USD 35,000 per yacht, per night, for the whole vessel. The 50 m+ tier occupies the top of that band, from USD 11,600 to USD 35,000, with a 7-night minimum from Sorong. Where a yacht lands depends on her size, suites, crew and the season. Final pricing is built by our desk once the yacht, dates and guest count are fixed.
The figures below are the catalog rate multiplied by nights, before 11% VAT, and then divided by the full guest count. They are planning numbers, not quotes.
| Yacht | Guests | 7 nights | 10 nights | Per person, per night (7 nights, full) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lamima | 14 | USD 189,000 | USD 270,000 | about USD 1,930 per person |
| Kudanil Explorer | 16 | USD 182,000 | USD 260,000 | about USD 1,625 per person |

| Lasha | 26 | USD 81,200 | USD 116,000 | about USD 446 per person |
| Top of canon | 14 to 18 | USD 245,000 | USD 350,000 | USD 2,500 to USD 1,944 per person |
At USD 35,000 per yacht, per night, a seven-night charter is USD 245,000 for the whole vessel: about USD 2,500 per person per night with 14 guests, or about USD 1,944 per person per night with 18. Ten nights at the ceiling is USD 350,000.
The charter rate covers the whole yacht and crew, the chef and all meals, snorkeling and standard dive equipment, tenders, and Sorong airport transfers. Raja Ampat conservation fees are a government charge per person and sit outside the rate, as do flights to Sorong, premium beverages, crew gratuities and nitrox or courses on request. The cost page breaks the band down for every tier, and the permit and fee guide covers the government side.
Routes for big yachts: Misool, Wayag, Dampier and the Banda Sea
A 50 m+ hull changes the route question. Sorong to central Misool is roughly 90 to 110 nautical miles, about 10 to 14 hours underway at 8 to 10 knots, so most superyachts sail overnight and anchor among the Misool karst on the first morning. Seven nights then split between the southern dive sites and the lagoons: Boo Windows at 5 to 30 m, Magic Mountain at 7 to 40 m with its manta cleaning station, Fiabacet at 8 to 35 m, Four Kings at 5 to 40 m, and Daram at 3 to 18 m for snorkelers.
Ten to fourteen nights open the full triangle. Misool to Wayag is about 200 to 240 nautical miles, 20 to 30 hours underway, which a large yacht covers in one or two overnight passages while guests sleep. Wayag, the Dampier Strait and the return to Sorong fill the second week. Water sits at 26 to 28 degrees Celsius, and the most settled conditions run October to April.
Expedition yachts such as Kudanil Explorer and the larger phinisi can also take the Banda Sea crossing: a one-way repositioning between Komodo or Ambon and Misool through the Spice Islands. It needs more nights and the right hull, and it is laid out on the Misool luxury expedition page. Families choosing between Misool-only and the full loop can start with the family charter page.
Service standard on board and at Sorong
Expect a chef running a daily menu around your dietary brief, a spa therapist on the yachts with a dedicated spa deck, and a dive master who sets the day around tide and current rather than a timetable. Tenders keep divers, snorkelers and a lagoon picnic moving at the same time.
Sorong is the gateway. Domine Eduard Osok Airport carries the code SOQ. Jakarta to Sorong runs about 6 to 8 hours with Garuda Indonesia and Batik Air; Makassar is about 3 hours 20 minutes; Manado about 2 hours 20 minutes; Ambon about 1 hour. Garuda is scheduled to resume direct Bali to Sorong flights on 25 October 2026 through March 2027, about 4 hours, though carrier and frequency details for Bali vary by source and should be confirmed in the airline system.
Most groups fly in the day before and stay at a hotel in Sorong the night before departure, so boarding is unhurried and the yacht sails that evening. Private charter flights into SOQ and helicopter transfers can be arranged on request; availability and permits vary, so raise them in the first conversation. The getting-to-Misool guide lays out every routing.
Booking windows for Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year
The three festive weeks fall inside the October to April season, and the 50 m+ yachts are the first to commit for them. Owners may ask for longer minimums over Christmas and New Year, and the same applies to Chinese New Year in late January or February. Nine to twelve months ahead is the realistic window for a first-choice yacht; six months out, the choice narrows to whatever is still open.
Outside those weeks, a 7-night charter booked well ahead still has a wide roster to choose from. Shoulder months within the season trade a little certainty on sea state for more flexibility on yacht and dates; the best-time guide covers month by month. Booking is a deposit against a signed charter agreement, with the balance due before departure, as set out in the booking process guide.
If the 50 m+ tier is more yacht than you need, the Misool luxury yacht charter hub lays out every tier from 25 m upward on one page.
Misool superyacht charter FAQ
What is the price to charter Lamima in Raja Ampat?
Lamima is quoted from USD 27,000 per yacht, per night, plus 11% VAT, with a 7-night minimum from Sorong. Seven nights is USD 189,000 for the whole yacht before VAT, which is about USD 1,930 per person per night with all 14 guests aboard. Crew, chef, meals, dive equipment and Sorong transfers are inside that figure; conservation fees and flights are not.
How much does a Raja Ampat superyacht charter cost per night?
Private Raja Ampat charters run from USD 6,400 to USD 35,000 per yacht, per night. The 50 m+ tier sits at the top of that band: Lasha from USD 11,600, Vela from USD 17,000, Silolona from USD 18,700, Prana by Atzaro and Dunia Baru from USD 20,000, Kudanil Explorer from USD 26,000 and Lamima from USD 27,000, all per yacht, per night, before 11% VAT.
Should I book a Christmas or New Year charter in Raja Ampat?
Yes, if you can commit nine to twelve months ahead. Both weeks fall in the settled October to April season, and the largest yachts are the first to be taken. Owners may ask for a longer minimum over the festive weeks, so be ready to plan a longer loop that includes Wayag rather than a seven-night Misool stay.
Is Chinese New Year a busy time for Raja Ampat charters?
It is a busy window, together with Christmas and New Year. The dates move between late January and February, so demand overlaps with peak manta activity in Misool and settled seas. Treat it like the December holidays: confirm the yacht nine to twelve months out and expect some owners to ask for a longer minimum on the most requested hulls.
Can a superyacht cruise from Komodo to Raja Ampat via the Banda Sea and Spice Islands?
Yes. Expedition yachts and the larger phinisi reposition one way between Komodo or Ambon and Misool, crossing the Banda Sea through the Spice Islands. It is a multi-night passage that suits 50 m+ hulls built for open water, and it is sold as a longer expedition rather than a standard seven-night charter. The expedition page sets out the route and how nights are counted.
What is included in a Raja Ampat superyacht charter price?
The whole yacht and crew, the chef and all meals, snorkeling and standard dive equipment with a dive master, tenders and shore excursions, and airport transfers in Sorong. Outside the rate: Raja Ampat conservation fees charged per person by the government, flights to Sorong, premium beverages, crew gratuities, and nitrox or dive courses on request. Each quote states the split line by line.
