Misool Luxury is a specialist marine brand under Juara Holding Group, the Indonesian travel group whose other marine desk, Komodo Luxury, runs from Labuan Bajo. This site covers one place and one way of seeing it: Misool and the wider Raja Ampat archipelago, by private yacht or liveaboard cabin, embarking in Sorong. We are not a general agency. Every page here is written by the charter desk that answers the WhatsApp line.
The word operator needs a plain definition. We do not own the Raja Ampat yachts on this site. We select them, inspect them, hold their current rates, design the route with the captain, and run the ground handling in Sorong from the moment your flight lands. The vessel owner provides the boat and her crew; the desk provides everything that happens before, between and after.
That split is what a Misool yacht charter desk should be: one accountable desk, one quote, one written itinerary, with the yacht chosen for your group rather than the group fitted to whichever boat is free. It also means the advice is not tied to a single hull. If the yacht you asked about is wrong for your dates or your draft, we say so and show the alternative.
What we do, and what we do not do

Three things we do not do, stated so that no one has to guess. We sell no accommodation on land; no stays ashore of any kind are offered or brokered here. How we select the vessels we offer
More than sixty yachts sit in the Raja Ampat catalogue behind this site, grouped into three tiers by length: superyachts of 50 m and above, luxury phinisi between 35 and 50 m, and boutique phinisi under 35 m. Length is the honest proxy. It tracks cabin count, deck space, tender fleet and crew ratio more reliably than any adjective.
Before a yacht is listed we check six points.
- Current survey and safety certification.
- Cabin count and layout against the owner’s own deck plan, so that a cabin is a cabin and not a converted crew berth.
- Tender and compressor capacity for the dive and snorkel program.
- Crew-to-guest ratio and the chef’s recent menus.
- Air conditioning and generator redundancy, because a quiet night at anchor depends on both.
- The owner’s cancellation and weather policy, in writing.
Crew standards are simple to state and harder to meet. A captain who has run Misool, not only the Dampier Strait. Dive guides who know the cleaning stations and the current windows. A cruise director on board who speaks fluent English and owns the daily schedule.

A small number of reference superyachts sit above the catalogue. They are not always open to charter in Raja Ampat and we do not publish their rates. We mention them so that you know the ceiling exists and can ask.
Pricing: per yacht, per night, with the total written out
Private Raja Ampat charters are priced per yacht, per night, from USD 6,400 to USD 35,000 depending on the vessel, with a 7-night minimum from Sorong. We never publish an anchor below USD 6,400, because no yacht we would put you on sails for less. Where a figure lands in that range depends on the yacht, her capacity and the season.
Every rate on this site comes with the total written out. Seven nights on a ten-guest phinisi at the entry rate is USD 44,800 for the whole yacht, about USD 640 per guest per night, with crew, chef, all meals and dive equipment included. Raja Ampat conservation fees, flights to Sorong, premium beverages and crew gratuities sit outside the charter rate, and the quote lists each exclusion by name.
Shared-cabin liveaboards use a different unit. Typical 2026 luxury departures run USD 350 to 900 per person per night, shared cabin, with the top vessels reaching USD 1,000 to 1,900. We state which unit we are using every time a number appears, and we never let a per-person figure stand next to a per-yacht figure without saying so. How our guides are researched, dated and refreshed
Every guide on this site starts from a written fact sheet. Distances, passage times, fees, season windows and depths are gathered from current public sources, each entry carries its source and year, and anything the sources disagree on is marked unverified until the desk confirms it with a captain or the park office. An unverified figure is published as a range with the words varies by season or operator, not as a single confident number.
Two examples show the method. The Sorong to Misool passage is published as 90 to 110 nautical miles and 10 to 14 hours underway, normally overnight, because routing and the chosen anchorage move the figure. The Raja Ampat conservation card is given as the most consistently reported 2026 rate, IDR 700,000 or about USD 40 per foreign visitor, with a note that sources conflict and the park authority has the final word. Pages are re-read at the start of each operating season, October through April, and whenever a rate, a fee or a flight schedule changes. Vessel figures, cabins, guest counts and rates, are checked against the catalogue before anything is published. If you find a figure that is out of date, tell the desk; it will be corrected and the review dated.

Choosing a Misool yacht charter operator: what to check
The vessels on this site are owned and run by independent operators and their crews; Misool Luxury is the desk that selects, holds and quotes them. Whoever you book through, ask for the same five things in writing: the per-yacht nightly rate with VAT shown, the seven-night total, what the rate includes and excludes, the conservation card arrangement, and the cancellation and deposit terms. We put all five in every quote so the comparison is honest from the first message.

A whole ten-guest phinisi at the entry rate works out to about USD 640 per guest per night, with the yacht and the itinerary entirely yours. How much should guests tip the crew on a Misool luxury trip?
Gratuities sit outside every charter and cabin rate and remain at your discretion. The desk sends a written guideline with your quote, based on the yacht’s crew size and the length of the charter, so there is no awkward moment on the last evening. Gratuities are usually given as a single amount to the captain to share across the crew.
Does Misool Luxury sell stays on land?
No. We arrange yachts and liveaboard cabins only, and we do not broker any form of accommodation ashore. The single exception is logistical: when flight times make a night in Sorong unavoidable before departure, the desk will arrange a hotel in Sorong as part of the ground handling, so the yacht can sail on time the next morning.
